Gunning from military helicopters causes panic on the part of children an villagers of the ZRC Perla Amazónica

Tuesday, in the early morning hours military helicopters strafed the village La Frontera, located in a Peasant Reserve Zone.

From the helicopter several flyers where thrown off with the following massage:

“Demobilize and recieve these benefits: Accommodation and alimentation, medical attention, education, legalization with justice, work opportunities, reward for information and war equipment. Free hotline: 164 – 147. Guerrillero give up and begin to live again. Do not risk anymore. Program of humanitarian attention for the demobilized”
The inhabitants of the community asked especially their parents why the military came to shoot at them and why they would have to demobilize if they are not Guerrilleros.
Yesterday, for around 10 minutes military helicopters repeated the strafing near by the village La Frontera.
Those events have caused panic on the part of the peasant families that only in the month of august have returned to their farms on the community land of La Frontera and La Piña from which they were forcibly displaced by troops of the 27th jungle brigade before.
